I received for Christmas "Art of the Streamliner" by Johnston & Welsh (published by Metro Books in 2001). I am still swooning over this gorgeous collection of photos & paintings of the streamliner era. You will too, when you see it - should be available in any bookstore. (No, I don't have any connection to the authors. I just couldn't wait to share this!)

I agree with you. I bought this book a few months ago. I could not believe that I found it on a clearance table for about $5.

This is an excellent book with nice descriptions about trains. It gives a general history of streamlined trains.
