I'm going to take a quick trip from Chicago to Milwaukee and back. Does anyone know of some good places to eat within a couple blocks of the station in Milwaukee?

Nope, a couple of blocks is too restrictive.

The station is at 5th and St. Paul:

The closest place would be something in the Hilton Hotel, 5th and Wisconsin....walk straight north of the station on 5th st.

There is a food court in the downtown mall, walk east on st paul to 4th st, north to Michigan (4 blocks so far) and enter the mall through the Boston Store entrance on the corner, or walk east on Michigan a couple of blocks and enter the mall there.

Another possibility are restaurants in the "Third Ward"; walk east on St Paul to Water St (four blocks) then south on Water...look for something in that block or walk another block east to Broadway.

I'd recommend the Third Ward - walk about 1/2 mile east (right) on St Paul - cross the river, turn right on Water Street - 1 1/2 blocks - Milwaukee Ale House overlooking the river is a good choice - one block further east on Broadway find Sauce or The Palms. Trendy neighborhood of shops, coffeehouses art galleries, theaters. If you have time - don't miss the Eisner Museum of Advertising Art - just down the street from the Ale House.
