I'll be leaving on Sunday the 8th of October for a cross country rail trip. I'll be traveling on the California Zephyr, Three Rivers, Twilight Shoreliner, Silver Service, Sunset Limited & San Joaquin. I will be returning the end of the month & will have a few stories to tell. Probably be out of touch for the most part but look forward to getting back to the Rail Forum. Yours Reggie

Have fun! One caution, I live in Biloxi,MS along the route of the Sunset Limited and it is rarely under 2 hours late, both east and westbound. I hope you didn't have any tight connections with the Sunset involved. It is a wonderful route and well worth the delays. Have fun!!!

Thanks for the tip. As a travel agent specializing in rail travel & also an operator of rail tours, I am painfully aware of the Sunsets problems. I have had good luck with the Sunset, on a tour I put together last October with 40 people on a 16 day tour, We rode the Sunset from Orlando to Los Angeles & was within an hour of schedule the whole route. We arrived into LAX right on the money. On this trip I will be stopping for 2 days in New Orleans & having a sleeper the whole way, I'm not concerned. I'm just going to enjoy the trip & get there when I arrive. I am making no connections from the Sunset. Yours Reggie
