11h37 at Palm Springs, yet to arrive LAX! Five hours late was the worst when I've been on it.

About a month ago I saw #1 at the Tucson station at about 3:30 PM on Wednesday, April 16, about 19 hours late.

(Edited to correct day of week and add date)

The trains often do run close to schedule, last week we rode the Texas Eagle from Chicago to Tucson, arriving within 1/2 hour of schedule.

Amtrak has no monopoly among common carriers for delays, a few years ago flying between Tucson and Newark, NJ I saw the sun rise twice between my arrival at the Tucson airport and my arrival at Newark.
