But would it sell? Probably the most practical configuration would be to take over the area used by rooms 11-14 and room F. But a room that takes that much space would cost a bundle for the traveler. Something in the neighborhood of $1,500-$2,000 per night to make up for the loss of the individual rooms. Would there be enough takers to make it worthwhile?Personally, I'd like to see them make larger rest rooms, and standard bedrooms with a bit more wiggle room, before they make oversized luxury bedrooms.
But I have wondered if it might be worthwhile to have one luxury sleeping car at one end of the train. Maybe an all Deluxe sleeping car with nicer than average furnishings and an exclusive lounge or diner/lounge on the lower level. But again comes the question, would it sell? It might attract Hollywood and Pebble Beach types, but those folks could just as easily rent a private railcar.
