Two answers from Trainorders.. The first one on here seems to be very specific, hopefully this guy knows what he's talking about! I'll take his word for it. I did not get a reply to my email to CDTA. Here is the latest...
The new parking garage adjacent to the present station is due to open on October 22. The garage will provide PAID parking, but the current open lots will remain free for the immediate future.
The contract for the overhead walkway and two high level platforms has been awarded, with construction due for completion in May 2002.
The necessary track and signal work should be completed by spring 2002.
The current 'official' opening date for the station is June 2002.
The station will open with three boarding tracks and room for the fourth in the future. A freight by-pass track will also be built by the spring 2002.
It seems that everything is in order and that these dates should be able to be met...
