Does anyone know of a site that has the current dining car menus for the eastcoast trains? I came across a link for the site last year, but I can't recall it.

Is there anyway to know which of the menus will be used on a specific train? We will be on #8, the eastbound Empire Builder 04/23/04-04/25/04 from Seattle to Chicago.
Thanks in advance.

That site has only three menus. Are there actually five? I'm assuming that the same menu is used for the duration of the trip, correct? I'm very impressed by the variety offered although I think it's a bit strange that beer is offered as a beverage at lunch but no wine and wine but no beer at dinner.
I asked this question in another posting but if we want to have a meal or two in our bedroom how ammenable are staff to this. Who brings the meal, the car attendant or someone from the dining car. How much of an additional tip above what one would tip in the diner?

Sbalax--I think there are more menu's as well. I tell the different menus by what Steak they are offering...On my train#14 it was the T-bone, on Train#11 it was the Delmonico. The Delmonico, Beef Tenderloin, and New York Strip were on the online menus. But not the T-bone..So most likely they do have others.
Now im hungry

It is my understanding that there are only three menus, and they rotate from train to train periodically. The idea is not to have the same menu on the same train in both directions or on connecting trains.
CS99, perhaps the T-bone was the "Evening special"??? Or did you actually see it printed on the menu? It is possible there is a new menu in the rotation. They do change them from time to time, but I think they keep them to a total of three menus.

I already replied to this thread but I don't see it here...I replied atlease 2 days ago.
Anyway on train14 the printed on the menu beef was "T-BONE STEAK" the special was stuffed bell peppers. On Train11 back it was the Delmonico even though are server told us that they were having 2 specials that night the bell peppers again and the t-bone. But I did see it on the menu.
How do these menu's just change anyway? Do they have different places where they can get that certain food needed. The only Dessert change was Lemon Shortbread...But do they ever flip the menu's around or is it all set place to place that they will have that food?
PS. Who caters the Parlour Car food? I enjoyed the Muffins they had there...They were deffinetly not the muffins in the nig Lounge car. These were delicous !
