For the first time in a while I seen an Amtrak commercial, it showed clips of the California, the Pacific Surfliner, and a Genisis-pulled Superliner Train,, dont know what train it was, and has a good shot of the California's light sequence at the coast line, nice to see it on TV again

Wow! I haven't seen an Amtrak TV commercial in a decade. I always liked it when they used Pat Matheney's "Last Train Home" as the background music. (It is still my favorite train instrumental piece.)

Now and then, there are AMTRAK commercials on TV down here in Florida (especially for Auto Train), but nothing recently. There is a radio commercial going on now for AMTRAK, however, which talks about coach prices to Philadelphia, New York, L.A., etc., and ends by saying "sleeping car space 'MAY ALSO' be available." Doesn't sound like they are pushing the sleepers much.....

They may be running the same commercials in every radio market in Florida. Don't want to get the hopes up of the folks in the Tampa Bay area when they find out they'd have to take a bus to Orlando to get a sleeping car.

Silver Star - I am in the Orlando area (a suburb). My "home" AMTRAK station is Winter Park.
