It's just a fluke. I checked it a minute ago and it says "Estimated arrival: 36 minutes early. " Ha ha ha !

This can't last. I predict they end up taking a wrong turn and next you will see "Train #1 (1) is currently in Chicago, IL and is 18 hours late"

Guess what, Amtrak, I'll even save you the trouble of composing the disclaiming notice that should be included in route and system timetables, ticket envelopes, and website:
"To our Sunset Limited Passengers:
Owing to exceptionally heavy freight traffic volume on our host railroad, the Union Pacific, Amtrak must advise its passengers to expect long delays en-route. As such, we cannot guarantee any connections with the Sunset Limited anywhere on its route.
We suggest that passengers continuing their journeys on the Coast Starlight make overnight hotel arrangements at Los Angeles.
We further suggest that passenger departing or being met make use of either our automated telephone Train Status system, "Julie", or the "Check Train Status" feature at our website. Every effort will be made to ensure that these resources are provided with updated information.
We sincerely regret any inconvenience caused to our passengers, but we believe these actions necessary owing to existing operating conditions."
