I searched the news postings and did not see anything. Maybe a pantograph snagged some of the wire?

A Metro North local snagged the catenary and pulled the wires down on 3of the 4 tracks outside of New Rochelle. M_N was able to open the fourth track after a 1-2 hour delay, but Amtrak trains were held out of the area, some for several hours so M-N could run their trains first. Amtrak also bussed some passengers between NYP and NHV where Acela trains were turned in both locations and returned to both Was and Bos.
