I've been a subscriber to RTN for years and this issue is one of the best! New format is not so great but the content is great! I suggest you subscribe--one of the best sources of interesting rail service news in the USA and Canada. Well worth the $30. a year! ($27. for seniors!) I'm convinced it's great stuff.

Thanks. I subscribed for a couple of years, after I met a subscriber who wa spart of the 'San Diegan Club'. I did not renew it because it was mostly travelogues and stories with very little real "news". Has that changed?

Rail Travel News is $30 for 24 issues (one year, but publication is sometimes a bit irregular, and they'll send you 24 issues for your money even if it takes longer than a year to publish them. The address is Message Media, PO Box 9007, Berkeley, CA 94709. I've been a subscriber for 25 years.

Lots of real news of USA and Via Rail--in detail. I really look forward to it even though I was disappointed by the lack of it for almost 2 years while they had trouble getting it out for a variety of reasons. Lots of real up-to-date news about Amtrak, Via, city urban rail, west coast rail, etc. I look forward to it and hope it comes out regularly.
