Starting posibly as soon as this weekend, I be Vaulintearing at the Historical Locomotive section of the L.A. County fair, they have a UP DD40X and a BIG BOY, you can blow they whistles and ring the Bell, open during the Fiar and the first tusday of every month

Hi Jon. I worked at a museum a few years ago. It can be a lot of fun, even when you get bombarded with questions that run the full gamut of the subject spectrum. When people find that you work/volunteer there, they might assume that you know everything under th sun regarding railroads.

The fair is at the Pomona Fair Grounds. They have a really nice collection of locomotives and rolling stock there.
I think the gate is 11 or maybe 14? Haven't been there in a while, but ask where to park for the "big" trains. The people working there don't seem to realize what you want to see until you mention "big" trains. Maybe this is because there is also a nice garden (G scale) layout there too.

The bigist and oldest Garden RailWay in the states to be exact, feel free to drop by or take the tour, and donate a $ or 2, they now feature an Amtrak DMU in fase 2!, I took photos, they wont hit Amtrak Pages for awhile though
