Hi Folks,
After some more good advice from this site, I applied for and received a website on trainweb.org. Today, after close to 20 hours of work, I posted my website. It contains the stories I posted here as well as close to 80 images of the trip. I designed it to be viewed, page by page, in the order my trip progressed. Of course you can always jump to particular parts!

I hope you all enjoy it!
and I would love any comments
-Mike

Very, very cool, Mike! You've inspired me to try to do something like this with my next trip.

Great travelog - made me want to jump on a train. I'm wondering if your car attendant on the Empire Builder was Bob Heath - a very tall. He was my attendant on the Zephyr a couple years ago, and he is interviewed in the book "Zephyr".

What a wonderful travelogue of your trip. Brought back many fond memories of my coast-to-coast trip. Also had the pleasure of having Bob Heath on both my eastbound and westbound Zephyr trips!

This is wonderful! Reminds me of my Boston-Chicago-Sacramento-Seattle-Chicago-DC-Boston trip, with a couple of days in Seattle--though the only part I missed was Sacramento-Emeryville because the Zephyr was so late. I'm eager for my next trip.

Hi Mike, thanks for your story, brought back memories of the Zephyr trip I did a few years ago. I won't be over to the US 'till September, so hoping all's well for my next Amtrak adventure by then.
