The last few days I have noticed two or three ExpressTrak cars on the end of the Capitol Ltd. I thought Amtrak was out of the boxcar business. What's up with these cars?

Hey, I rode the Cap in November and these cars were present as well.
It is my understanding that when Amtrak discontinued the Express, they were still in a long term contract with express trac, and i belive the contract still has a few years left.
I hope that someone else can also help fill you in on the reason behind these cars.
