Due to the Installation of new CTC-enabled switches, Some service to Goleta will be replaced with alternate bus or cab service from Santa Barbara:

The West Switch will be replaced on Feb. 5, and trains 765 and 771 will terminate at Santa Barbara, with cab/bus service to Goleta.

Train 784 and 794 will originate at Santa Barbara (not Goleta, as originally scheduled) Buses/Cabs will provide replacement service from Goleta to Santa Barbara for these Trains.

On February 12th, The new Eastern Switch will be installed, and the following changes will be in effect:

Through Trains:

765 (through to Goleta)
775 (through to Goleta, San Luis Obispo, possible 35 minute delay through the area)
783 (through to Goleta)

Suspended Service:

771 will operate to Oxnard Station only. Train #771's service from Oxnard to the cities of Ventura, Carpinteria, Santa Barbara, and Goleta will be provided by buses.

Southbound through Trains:

772 (Through from Goleta)
776 (Through from Goleta, San Luis Obispo)
794 (through from Goleta)

Suspended Service

784 will operate from Oxnard to San Diego only, with bus service from Goleta, Santa Barbara, Carpinteria, and Ventura connecting at Oxnard Station.

Cycle for February 12:

Set 1: 566-771-784-593
Set 2: 772-579-590
Set 3: 776-783
Set 4: 568-575-582
Set 5: 567-574-581
Set 6: 570-775
Set 7: 765-794
Set 8: 569-578-587

The Coast Starlight (trains #11 and #14) are unaffected by this track project.

Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner - Santa Barbara CTC Switch project phase one is successfully completed. The new west switch is installed at Santa Barbara. Train #11 is 2hr 15mi late out of Oxnard, train #775 is 1hr 19mi late out of Santa Barbara after being on time as far as there. (long smoke stop there while they could not advance through the switch. last report at Guadalupe at 8:57P.)

Are those temporary changes (Santa Barbara-Goleta bus service) while the switches are installed?
Or are the trains running to Goleta again now that the work is finished?
