Has security tightened up regarding luggage checking on trains? Is it more like the airline checks? Does someone at the stations look through our stuff before boarding? Do we need to arrive really early to catch our train due to tightened security? Thanks!! Candy

No one looks through anything. I would guess there's a little more security in Chicago, but I haven't heard of anybody being stopped for anything.

Hey Candy, Don't worry about arriving early. You will still be fine even if you arrive 20 minutes before departure. They are only looking for people who look "suspicious."

The last four times I've gone to see train 49, a police *** was hoisted into the baggage car to sniff for who knows what. Tell me that isn't increased security. It's the same *** every night. It's a good thing; I don't want anything happening in the baggage car that might damage my favorite engine since it's been assigned to that train for almost a week. Time to go crush some pennies...

What gives? I can't talk about the canine species on this post? Why am I getting censored? Puppy? Pooch? Dee oh gee? Canis familiaris? Rover? Pup? K-9? Dawg? Man's best friend?
Huh? I sure hope this was some sort of automated moderation.

I just got the same *** after typing "dogs" (that was canines, plural) ... Wonder if that's a new profanity?
