And how many of these high-paying desk jobs will be kept if Amtrak doesn't get the 1.2 billion? Keep your eyes peeled on Thursday when everyone meets with the Senate Finance Committee (?) Should be interesting..

Each manager and director manages and directs other managers and directors, so of course there is a need for them.

What is the source of your information?

I went to jobs.amtrak.com and said I wanted to see all locations and all specialties.

I did NOT see the positions you advertised?

Maybe its time for some TRUTH?

I couldn't link it because it was from Amtrak's internal intranet. But they also farm out the search process. Here you go, I can link this site. You want honesty, I want an apoligy!!!!!

I would think Amtrak would have a "hiring freeze" right now while all the financial issues get sorted out.

It would not make sense to fill these jobs while all the service jobs are being cut.
