I'm on the CZ 6/19. I tend to be one to put myself in other's shoes. I therefore will be a amicable passenger with regard to my attitude towards the train personnel. With that said i'm hoping that the sleeping car restroom facilities have some type of schedule for cleaning and stocking during the trip? Unlike some i'm not afraid and plan to use the lower level shower in the sleeper i'm in. Can I expect it to be clean as well as the restroom? I won't mind if there is sparse use of the shower by others as it seems to be the case from what I hear.

You were hoping for heavy traffic or a shower partner?

Just kidding. My experience has always been that the showers are clean and have great water pressure.

Don't forget your hair dryer, doll.

The overall state of sleeping car rest rooms depends entirely on how slovenly your fellow passengers are, and on how seriously the car attendant views his/her job.

Most attendants do an adequate job when it comes to keeping the facilities neat. A few do an exceptional job. And a handful pull a complete disappearing act and leave the passengers (and rest rooms) to fend for themselves.

As mentioned above, the "public" showers generally stay pretty clean and lightly used, largely because the average American passenger seems to get completely skeeved-out by the mere thought of showering in one.
