Got on in Toccoa, GA and a'int stopping till I ride the Zephyr! Got all kinds of info and stories from my first night. GOD SAVE THE RAILWAYS!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to trainweb, and good luck on your trip. I assume your #29 to #5 connection in CHI is same day since it is not a great risk.
Are you going all the way to CA on the Zephyr? Is this a round trip? Roomette, bedroom or coach? We enthusiasts need details. I just rode the Zephyr Omaha to Grand Junction and back.

The Zephyr from Denver to Sacramento is my very favorite Amtrak run so far. I hope you love it as much as I did!
