All Stations in Michigan except Jackson and Niles will be getting Self Ticketing machines in the stations. Within 2 years these machines will be able to due refunds we need to put a stop to this before we lose all ticket agents in the stations.
Who will be there to help you get on and off the train who will give you information check your baggage help you around the station.:

It will be like Bridgeport,CT. Amtrak shares the station with Metra. The people at the window know nothing about Amtrak. You can use the machine,go to a travel agent who will charge you $25 to book the ticket,have Amtrak mail your tickets to you, a wait of 2-3 weeks. There is no checked baggage, no one to help with the baggage and no way to get information unless you call Julie. Also there is no parking around the station so it's impossible for someone to drive you down there and stay to help you. In sum ..it's the pits!!!
