Welcome to Seattle, looks like you'll be getting some of our famous liquid sunshine, otherwise enjoy your visit. Say hi to T-town.

Jonathon, that pile of debris, was it just north of Salinas? I turned on my scanner at home Sunday evening, and I heard not the UP dispatcher, but the California Highway Patrol reporting juveniles had piled debris on the tracks and caused a train to stop. I thought of you when I heard that.
Sorry I wasn't able to get to Salinas to see you pass by. Maybe on your return, whenever that is (no promises, though).
840 photos???? That's one shot every 1.6 miles! I hope you have a lot of memory cards.
I'm glad you had a great trip. Let's hope there are no tunnel fires to impede your return this time.
Oh, and how was the food? Inquiring minds....

Cool trip, Jonathan. Why did they search the car in Eugene; did they say?
When you catch the Cascades to Vancouver, look for the bald eagles along the train near White Rock. At least, I saw a ton of them when I was heading south (they maybe come only in the evenings, when the canneries throw out fish or something!)
Isn't Vancouver nice? I loved walking around Stanley Park. The gun goes off every night at 9.
If you have a chance, I hope you can visit Victoria too.
