Kept meaning to check on this and finally did tonight. The 2007 Amtrak calendars are available in the Amtrak store.
On another note --- I notice that they still have souvenier and gift type merchandise available there. Some of it is related to specific trains -- but for the life of me I cannot recall ever seeing any of this merchandise on the trains (nor in any of the train stations). Wonder why Amtrak makes no attempt to market this other than in the on line Amtrak store. ??? Perhaps I just did not look in right place??

I think they used to sell some Amtrak souveniers in the snack car. I can remember, at least, Amtrak playing cards being sold there. Why not have most Amtrak souveniers available on the trains... not just in the snack car but lounge & parlor cars as well?

Because they don't sell. They have tried that at various times over the years but just don't sell enough to justify handling them.

Amtrak playing cards are available on several trains in the snack bar; I have purchased them more than once. And on the Empire Builder in 2005 I purchased a refrigerator magnet (showing the art deco EB picture also on the poster) and post cards.

The 2007 calendar is by far my favorite over previous years. All of the souvenirs being sold nowadays show the Amtrak logo instead of the particular route as they once did.

Amtrak caps and playing cards are sold in the snack car,at least on the Southwest Chief.I had my birthday last Friday on #4 while going to La Plata for the trainweb festivities.A few friends threw me a party on the train with these two items as birthday presents. They also sell blankets.
