Last night, on the National Geographic channel, they had a series entitled "Outlaws and Lawmen". One episode was on early American train robbers. It mentioned that the last train robbery, for the Butch Cassidy gang, was near the town of Exeter, Montana (not Essex, Mt.). Apparently, Exeter was somewhere along the Great Northern line.
Does anyone know where Exeter, Mt was located? (apparently it is now a ghost town).

Very interesting..thanks for the quick response, Stlboomer. I used to live along highway 2, in Northern Montana, but I never heard of the name, "Exeter".

Yukon11 - Exeter, MT is located along the old GN "High Line" route -- the Empire Builder passes through Exeter.
