I would guess surely so but it might vary from team to team how to do that. Some phone calls and/or emails ahead of time would easily clear that up.

The US term for what you're wanting to do is "hold my tickets at the WILL CALL window" as I would imagine every team will have one of those at the stadium somewhere.

Dodger Stadium is close by LA Union Station as well. You can actually see it off in the near distance as your arriving and departing. Dodger Stadium is one of those stadiums that doesn't have a bad view in the whole park.

If you do the Grand Canyon, arrive into Flagstaff that evening and overnight it in Flagstaff. There is a shuttle that will take you to Williams (for the Grand Canyon Railroad) or straight to the Grand Canyon the next morning. It leaves from the Amtrak Station IN FLAGSTAFF about the time the EASTBOUND train gets in (around 6:30am or so?). Thats a regularly operating shuttle so you can take it back and forth throughout any time of day (I think).

Almost every MLB team has on line purchasing and some will even let you print out the tickets on your own printer. Mindful of possible late arrivals, advance purchase for baseball games is hghly recommended. Weekday afternoon games may be the exception.

I haven't had time to check in here as much as usual, so I'm falling behind on the discussions.

If you're into MLB, AT&T park in San Francisco is a gem of a ballpark not to be missed. Coors Field in Denver is nice too, and is right next to the Amtrak station. You can see the field from the train.

As for Monterey, that's my home town, and I must put in a plug for my website of fun and useful information about this place I call home. See it at http://www.montereypeninsula.info

Thanks - the site is now added to my Favourites. Can you get a bus or something along 17 Mile Drive or could I hire a cab? I would like to view Pebble Beach golf course whilst there as well as Cypress Point.

You can easily see the Pebble Beach golf course from the north end of Carmel Beach for free. Monterey-Salinas transit has an express bus from downtown Monterey to The Lodge at Pebble Beach. It is, however, a somewhat circuitous route through Pacific Grove. See Route 2X schedule PDF

As for a tour bus, if you are a movie buff I would recommend Monterey Movie Tours which includes 17 Mile Drive. BTW, National Velvet had a few scenes on what is now the Pebble Beach golf course, so it should be on the tour.

Wow! Thanks it sounds great. I am planning on staying at the Travelodge Downtown so should be handy for the bus.
