I know this has been discussed before (maybe even on a thread I started) but I wonder if anyone has actually ridden the shuttle from the terminal at BUR to the train "station" at BUR? The website for the airport ( www.bobhopeairport.com ) says to take the Parking Lot D shuttle. I've always walked before but am not sure how mobile I will be next month. I'm six weeks out from hip replacement surgery and doing well but want to have a back up just in case.

P.S. For you aviation buffs the website has some pretty cool pictures for the 75th anniversary of the airport.

Frank---that's a good question about the shuttle. You know, I've heard about the shuttle......and I've read about the shuttle.....but I'll be darned if I've ever SEEN the shuttle. What I have seen are people waiting for the shuttle at the train platform, only to give up waiting and walk over to the terminal....

I have flown into Burbank, and the Station is simply a short walk (but existent) through maybe two fairly small parking lots to the terminal. It's definatley doable. Walked maybe 2/3 of the way towards the rail platform from the terminal to get to the rental car location)

Sorry, I'm not much help since I walk to the terminal everytime.

I've always walked it, too, but I'm coming off hip replacement surgery and wasn't sure how able I'd be when we do this trip. As of today, things are looking very good. I can see how folks with more than one bag or a disability (temporary or permanent) would appreciate the shuttle, however.
