I have a four year old that won't take any type of pill medication (just liquid). He throws up in the car even on short trips. Liquid Dramamine has been discontinued according to my local CVS and Eckerd pharmacists. However, after wrangling with my pediatrician. She was able to find an "old-time" pharmacist (not one of these drugstore chain pharmacist) who MADE me liquid dramamine. So, if you need liquid Dramamine for small children, you can get it. You do need to see your pediatrician for dosage, and ask if she/he can find a pharmacist who can make it in liquid form. It cost me 12.00 and a doctors visit, but it will be worth the peace of mind it will give me. I was told to give it to him an hour before the trip. It's a three day trip, so I had them give me a BIG BOTTLE.

I hope no one ever needs this information. I was so surprised and frustrated that Gravol (equivalent to liquid Dramamine) is sold in Canada, but I could not get any liquid form of motion sickness medicine here.

Take a look at those elastic, anti-motion sickness wrist bands that are sold in most chain drug stores.

Each band has a little raised plastic button on the inside that presses gently against a pressure point when worn. I don't know if the bands would be too large for a four year-old. But they do seem to work for many people, as long as the button is positioned correctly.
