The TE usually adds a coach in St Louis for all the extra people that ride from there to points north.

"Trains 321 and 322" noted by Mr. Hayden are an extra Coach added to 21 and 22 consist for Chicago-St Louis passengers. Since there are cars in The Eagle's consist that originate in LA, there is much opportunity for 'things to go wrong'. Better performance is made with any of the other trains identified as "Lincoln Service'.

Finally, Mr. Hayden, welcome to our forum and thank you for registering with a screen-name that could well be your given legal name. I've been around here since 1999 (an outage caused my Seniority Date to show 2002) and have never had reason to regret posting under my given legal name. This is not a group of sixteen year old HS kids posting a bunch of meaningless nonsense as found on MySpace or wherever else they post.
