I heard from someone that the CZ was now going to/from Omaha, not just Denver. Can anyone confirm that? Thanks!

The service alert on the Amtrak website is still to Denver, busstitution beyond.
Actually, there's some logic to Denver. There are multiple tracks in the station, which can be used to store trainsets (someone is going to have to clean and service them). Omaha, and I've used Omaha at least 4 times, doesn't have that.

WBBM 780's "Traffic and Weather on the Eights" 648AM segment today had a summary of the annullments, and noted the Chief E of KC, Zephyr E of Denver, and the Builder E of MPLS. The reporter further noted "Amtrak says find another way to go", which would suggest the bustitutions may not be offered much longer.

According to the AMTRAK web site this AM, both the SWC and the EB are expected to resume running their entire route as of tomorrow, 6/20 -- the CZ will apparently have "bustitution" for a few days longer

Mr Rich's comment has been overtaken by events. Trackage on BNSF and CP is apparently taking longer to inspect, evaluate, repair, and certify than first thought. Most recent service bulletin says expect busstitutions until Amtrak says otherwise.
