We have small dog, fits in duffle bag easily, well trained etc. What is amtrak policy on dogs on long distance ( ie. Crescent)in sleeper car and on short commuter ( Keystone /Harrisburg to NY).
Thanks for info

No animals except service animals. Your hometown airline, Continental, has an excellent service for pets called, I believe, PetSafe. They even have their own kennel/animal care facility at IAH. Since you don't fly maybe you could send the animal ahead.

Sorry there are no pets allowed on any Amrak train except for service dogs. Years ago they were allowed if you had a bedroom. Afterseeing the mess on one station I can understand why they instituted that rule.
