Certainly one of the shortest stikes that I can remember but as David said, why couldn't Via and the union agree to arbitration before they caused all this inconvenience to so many people?

One month ago yesterday we left from Toronto to Vancouver on the Canadian. If we had reservations for yesterday, instead of June 27th, what would have happened? Anticipating an incredible trip.and then not being able to go..plus we had pricelined hotels in Toronto and Vancouver. Would they have put us on the next westbound train that left Tuesday,or would ViaRail refund our money?
I do wonder what happened to those folks who had reservations on the Canadian from Saturday night. That had to be one huge dissapointment.
