I saw a post from sbalax about this AGR promo w/the 2 million point giveaway if you ride on Aug. 20. My wife made a short train trip this day to qualify. We talk about everyone blowing it off as the promo was on a work day or how many registered folks could manage a workable route etc..I wonder what the general vibe is about participation? We know of no one that made a trip on the 20th.

I did. SBA-CPN. The regular points and the "Summer Bonus" points have posted to my account but not whatever my share of the 2 million is. I believe the promotional message said they would post by 4 October.
Was you wife registered for the promotion? You had to be an AGR member AND registered for the promotion. The phone call I had with AGR confirmed that the length of the trip was not a factor and credit would only be given for one trip on the 20th.
I recall that several other people on this board road on the 20th. I believe I mentioned in my post that nobody I spoke with at the Santa Barbara station or on the train had heard of the promotion.

Yes the wife is a member etc. We were unaware of the "summer bonus" point thing but will for sure check her account info. Nice. After some reflection and soul searching I came to the conclusion that I am greedy and would hope that I get a ton of points. I feel bad about this right now, but hope to feel better if I score a long train trip.
