The Canadian customs agent noted (from my driver's license) I was from Texas and did I know the Canadian laws regarding guns. I said no, but I left all 47 of my guns at the house.
Wrong answer.
The bus waited on me and my bag to be thoroughly inspected by the agents (yes, another one came over to help).
As if anyone here did not alreadly know it:
It appears that to work in either airport security or customs, all sense of humor is surgically removed using a spoon and without anesthesia.
Your travel history is known, as well and that can raise flags. I got the special treatment upon entry into the USA for a couple of years after making a trip to the Philippines. My guess is because it had no identifiable purpose and no visible itinerary inside the country. No one met me. I got a taxi and told him to take me to a particular bus station. I traveled by bus and stayed with local friends, so I simply dissapeared from the radar for about three days, leaving no footprints left that the INS paranoids could see.
