I gather Wi-Fi will be starting up in the next few weeks in most trains in the NE--i.e., corridor trains between Boston and Washington or Virginia (including shuttles and other trains to Springfield MA), Empire Service, Ethan Allen, Maple Leaf, Adirondack, Vermonter, Keystone Service, Pennsylvanian, Downeaster, Carolinian, Palmetto. It will be available in cafe cars and all regular coach cars (inc business class) I think, so on a few of these longer-distance trains that also have the other kind of coach cars with more leg room (Amfleet II I think they are called?)--e.g., Adirondack, Maple Leaf--the Wi-Fi will not be on those coaches.

I'll be riding on the corridor between NYP and PVD November 18th! (Business Class train 176) I'll bring my Netbook along and crank it up between Hell Gate Bridge and New London!

There was an internal notice posted today that the service has been postponed "indefinitely"...
