That's great, Fred. My sister's/brother-in-law's LGB train is in need of replacement, and it is difficult to find dealers for LGB's.

Great models at the Botanical Gardens, Sojourner! Looks like a great exhibit--
And yes, Merry Christmas and happy New Year to all from Railroad Rich and his family -- may your new year be filled with great train rides!

It's the Flying Scotsman around my daughter's tree. The Anglophiles went with that one instead of Amtrack!
-------------------- My new "default" station (EKH) has no baggage service or QuikTrak machine, but the parking is free! And the NY Central RR Museum is just across the tracks (but not open at Amtrak train times. . ..) Posts: 337 | From: Goshen, IN | Registered: Jun 2006

Happy Holiday to all. At work, I have a steady stream of 5 year olds lining up to press the button that makes my N scale Christmas layout go round and round while their parents take care of business. It's amazing how much fun a 5 year old can have with a model train.

The Baltimore & Ohio RR in 1947 had this memo to employees:
".....Throughout the Christmas season the company will provide all ticket sellers, members of passenger train and dining car crews and stewardesses with fresh, bright-berried holly to be worn while on duty......Wearing a sprig of holly, you will be united with thousands of other B&O men and women along our 6,000 miles of line, all of whom will be going about their duties imbued with the same Christmas Spirit...."
Happy Holidays to all and may that Spirit be with you throughout the year.
