My 96-year-old aunt is not doing well, so I find myself unexpectedly on the LSL on Monday night 48(23). Does anyone know if they still board sleeper passengers early in Chicago? If not, I will take a later connecting Hiawatha from Milwaukee than I plan.
I was able to happen upon the last reasonably priced roomette for the foreseeable future (according to AmSnag), so I may end up returning in coach from Schenectady.
-------------------- My new "default" station (EKH) has no baggage service or QuikTrak machine, but the parking is free! And the NY Central RR Museum is just across the tracks (but not open at Amtrak train times. . ..) Posts: 337 | From: Goshen, IN | Registered: Jun 2006

I "Think" They are still boarding sleepers early. Sorry about your Aunt. Of course, if you have access to computer, keep checking sleeper prices...they may change...

Affirmative on the early boarding and Welcome Aboard wine event in the Dining Car. Hope your aunt will be feeling better soon. I'll miss you by a few days as I will be on 448(26).
