It will run Emeryville - Denver with NO onward transportation for the foreseeable future.

The City of Saint Louis (UP, 1967) is still my standard for passenger operations

Amtrak has been fairly lucky with all the flooding this year. There haven't been too many cancellations and there doesn't seem to be much damage to the infrastructure. It's April, time for some sunshine, spring flowers and baseball.

Today, I observed two Eastbound Superliner Amtrak trains. Safe bet that #6, Zephyr, is restored DEN-CHI.

Zephyr back on schedule, but I was in Portland this evening catching 508, the 720pm departure to Seattle. The station lobby was full of riders still waiting for the Coast Starlight to arrive. Somewhere between Klamath Falls and Eugene the Starlight slipped 8 hours behind schedule, its estimated arrival time in Seattle is 403am. Fortunately there was room on 508 for all passengers who had tickets on 14.
