The President has made a nomination, subject to Senate confirmation, of Theodore Rokita, a former Indiana 4th District Congressman, to the Amtrak Board:
The advocacy community is "up in arms"; to me, it's simply a case of a defeated hack politician wanting to "keep a toe in the Washington water".

He has an anti-Amtrak voting record. Rather than dipping his big toe in, he's liable to dropkick the company into oblivion.

Mr.Vincent does have a point. While the C,I,&L (aka Monon) is not shown on the map, it should be evident that such, i.e. Cardinal/Hoosier State, runs N-S through District:
One further point of interest; Mr. Rodika held office during the entire time of the Ed Ellis Hoosier State varietal. To what extent he was influential in bringing an outside contractor to the table, I know not.
