At the suggestion of Gil Norman I am posting that Gib (Gibson) Gardner who sometimes posted here and who some of you have met, appears to have passed away.
I knew Gib in the '70's and we reconnected here on Railforum. He visited us in Santa Barbara several times. I then lost touch with him again. I have no positive proof that he has passed but unanswered e-mails and regular mail as well as a disconnected phone would indicate that that is the case.
If any of you have information to the contrary I would be pleased to have it.
Frank in sunny but cool SBA

From doing a Members' posting history search. it appears Mr. Gardner has not been active here since June '14.
While not widely done, the "upon my death" instructions state to notify the sites at which I have actively participated.
Not sure to what extent others have made a like stipulation, but I think when site Administrators learn that amember has deceased, the account should be noted and closed.
