I am interested in information about the greater central Iowa area of trains operating there about 1940-1970. Especially interested in M&STL, CGW, CRIP, etc. Would like to know how to do research -- general suggestions as to where to look, etc. Or take advantage of research already done.
Thank you.

I am sure that M&STL got bought by CNW, but you might check out the CNW Historical Society Web Page. That maybe a start, or find anything on the internet of those lines that you mentioned. What is CRIP stand for? I have never heard of that line. Well, good luck. Let me know how you are progressing. I am always curious.
