In the words of Edgar Winter. "Come on and take a free ride". I just discovered this site as well. Hope many others from Train orders.com join as well

That's good to know. This place is certainly my new railfan forum home, as I'm also a former TO'er. I hope that many others make the switch as well. Oh, something you other ex-TO'ers might be interested in hearing. I posted a good bye message on the Eastern Board of TO that mentioned that I could now be reached on this site and on my I&O Discussion List and the CincyRails List, and Todd Clark deleted it. Could it be he's afraid of a little competition?:-)

I've been a Trainorders member since its inception but I'm not about to pay for it. I've been corresponding with Steve Grande long before TrainWeb was launched. I'm more than happy to make TrainWeb my rail discussion home!
I do wish though we had more catgories like: Amtrak, Western, Eastern, etc.

Mike you might choose to add about 2 more discussion boards to the list. Possibly it could be an Amtrak Board and an International Railroad Board. This needs to be weighed carefully, of course, because each new board you add here is that much more to sort thru. It comes down to a trade-off between having a few core categories and not getting lost in many different categories of Forums.
I do hope that Trainweb is attractive to many rail-oriented people and that those people find their way to these Forums!

Looks like the move is picking up speed! I work with computers and the web and I WILL NOT pay for info - there's enough GOOD FREE info out here if you know where to look

Add another ex-TOer to the list. It's not a choice I wanted to make, but I just can't paying for stuff I didn't use. I'll miss TO but a lot of the old crew seems to be over here now.

I am here. Any info I can get will be posted right here, right now.! BTW, all you south (cincinnati and beyond) there were to be more WINGS heading your way. Last I saw they were in Ft.Wayne. Don't know what train, maybe a 465-443.!! Keep on the look out, the might be down there, or they might have went home.

The discussion takes place where most of the people are. From the looks of things, you might be talking to yourself over there.
