I recently heard that UP is pulling all their stack trains off the IMRL with the exception of the IHNCH. Trackwork on the Sunset route is given as the reason. Anyone know just exactly what is the trackwork being done? Routine maintainance, adding capacity etc? I had heard that some of the UP trains were removed off I&M earlier back in 2000 due to congestion on the UP golden state route out of Kansas City
