Where is C & O #614 these days? Last I heard was that the owner had it for sale. I rode behind it (in the parlor car) for one of its last 200 mile round trips on the Erie-Lackawanna, Hoboken to Port Jervis, in the late 1990's. badkatt68

I have the answer to my question, after some earnest websurfing! The Chessie "Greeenbriar" #614 is at the Arcade and Attica (Tourist) Railroad in Attica, NY, website: anarr.com. bought by them for 2.5 million dollars. Apparantly they have put it through the shop and it is now operable and on display. But there is a notice on the site stating that, by order of the Federal Gov't, NO steam locomotives will be used for operations, for now. Wonder what that is all about? badkatt68

Not sure where badkatt68 got the information, but 614 is at the New Hope & Ivyland RR in New Jersey (www.newhoperailroad.com). According to the 614 website the locomotive received a "grease down" in June to prepare her for long term storage at NH&I.
