Hey,
My club, Pomona Valley Model RR Club here in the LA area, we still hand lay most of our track and switches. The only time we use regular plastic track is for inside tunnels and places that are not easily seen by the guests. We do all the work from cutting the ties, to staining them and installing them by hand. The switches are hand laid as well and all the points and frogs are soddered into place. Its a lot of work and is very time consuming, but the results are fantastic If anyone is interested in seeing pics of our club layout, visit http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/kd6pyd/pvmrrc.htm
Take care, Jack.

Mate,
Sorry, we do not have a track plan avalible right now and it might be possible that we will put it on a new web page sometime in the future when it becomes avalible. If you live in the LA area, we can give you a tour of the layout. Come and visit us! We are having an open house on Sat, April 14, 2001 from 9:30am to 4:00pm. We will be having a swap meet outside as well. For all the info about this event, visit: http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/kd6pyd/PVOpnHse.htm
Hope to see you there! -Jack
