I have an 8'x4' "N"-scale layout, and because it has no blocks I am considering a DCC system. Right now I am looking at the Geneses or the next system up from that, But I am wondering what else there is out there. If there is anyone out there who could give me some information on other systems avalibul, I would greatly apperciate it.
Thanks, Titanium Man

Yo, Dude! Why not check with the people who sell these systems? Here are some......Digitrax DCC: (770-441-7992) www.digitrax.com Atlas DCC: Atlas Model RR Co. www.atlasrr.com MRC Model Rectifier Corp. (732-225-6360) www.modelrec.com These are just a few. Pick up a Model Railroader Magazine, there are lots of systems and sellers listed there!! Best wishes and good luck. Richard

I myself too have been pondering which way to go. Price isn't really an issue, as most of the DCC systems are priced in the same range. I was away from the hobby for right at 5 years, (that was when we were getting out on our rest everyday) so I have alot of catching up to do.
I have been picking up MR's as the come out, and still can't decide. I want something that will allow me easy setup (I have a MRC walk around now, that I can put in phone jacks as needed), but I want DCC. The future layout will be a 61'x35' basement empire, double track PRR mainline, so there are alot of things to concider before I jump into DCC.

If You want the very best in DCC You owe it to Yourself to check into Zimo-systems. This system is around since 1979! The company is involved in industrial electronic and the owner is a modelrailroader. So he knows what we need and how to build it! This is the most complete system on the market. It can be used as a simple walk-around cab or as a completely automated system, controlled by one or several PC's. It is fully NMRA compatibel. Have a look at our website: www.mrsonline.net Please e-mail me If You have more questions. Good luck Art

Before you commit. Why not talk with Dave Lloyd at DLA TRAINS. Very knowledgable and honest. Web site is DLAho.com. Tell him Bob Cochran told you about him. I don't get a discount for referrals. I like to pass on good people in the hobby that treat me right. My Preference is DigiTraxx for base station and Lenz for decoders. They're smaller than most and are compatible with other manufacturers. Thanks to NMRA STANDARDS.
Good Luck Bob Cochran babyChoo@aol.com
