How come nobody's using the forum as much anymore? Not too many new topics or replies started...or even check ups...

I have to agree, it does seem kinda dead. I'm new at this computer bit, and when I found this forum it took another week to find where it was at again. I have a question, but I don't even know how to start a new topic here. I understand some power packs can power 3, 4, or 5 HO locos at a time. If you use an MRC 7000 or 9000 or thereabouts, can you power 2-3 tracks at a time (1 throttle) but cut power to some tracks thru a switch? Just curious, but I might try it. Thanks Yellowlynn

If you look at the top of the page, you will see a "Post New Topic" logo above and to the right of the blue line, tight above the word register. Just click and you should get a new window.

Hi Lynn, and welcome Yes you can do that. Its basicaly block control. If you go to a well stocked hobbyshop you should be able to get a book about basic wireing for your model railroad. Just tell the person there what you are looking for and they should be able to point you to the correct book. HTH.....Mike

It looks like these forums are alive and well. I put in a reply and question and got several answers the same day. I've learned more about model RRing in the month and half I've been on internet than I don't know when. One of the first topics I read was in this column, What kind of RR do you model and where. This whole thing is absolutely fascinating, so keep going and don't let us "Newbies" down. Thanks for the info on blox and stuff. I was thinking of just powering seperate trax, no connection. I like to show off to Boy Scouts, etc. I've got a bunch of seperate trax and they like to see all run at once. Oh, well, I don't totally know what I'm doing, but I sure have a lot of fun. Lynn

I think the forum sorta died when everyone realized Trainorders wasn't going to a pay subscription. Although, now if your not already a member of TO, you have to pay a fee to get access to it. It hasn't take effect yet, but Todd isn't taking new members yet either. So this might perk up again.
