Hey,

You need to let me know exactly what parts they are. If I don't have them, I can build the spline. I don't know what you mean by GP38 coupling. Do you mean the couplers on the end? If it is, what type of coupler is it? Horn hook or Kadee.
Just be specific! I can get, or build the parts that you need.

Hey,

Shane here. I hope you don't mind me askin' but are you a younger modeler?
A motor clip is replaced most of the time, with the modeler choosing to hardwire the motor. The GP38 spline is easily made out of brass tubing and a piece of wire.
I am not sure what the P40 is! Is it the Genesis? I am sure it is not the F40.
I am pretty sure that you can get the P40 sideframes out of the Walthers catalog!!
Your dependence on these motor clips is telling me that you do not have access to a soldering pencil, or solder, or wire, or, are extremely new to the hobby. Am I right?
I do not have a motor clip for a P40 because I do not have any P40's. They are, however, replaced most of the time anyway, and are not considered a critical component on the locomotve. I junked my motor clips a long time ago---you don't need them. Soldering wire from the pickup tabs to the motor is preferable to the clip!
As for the spline, I have lost splines before, and just made new ones out of brass tube.
If you don't have money just send me the locomotive and I will fix it for you for nothin'. I can get P40 sideframes for you.
If I know how old you are, it will solve a big mystery! If you really need it fixed soon, I could order up the sideframes and have them sent to you, but first I need to know if the P40 is the Genesis.
You could even send the locomotive to me and I will improve it for you by hardwiring the motor and putting a new spline and sideframes on it.

Later

Shane
