I've been out of HO railroading for several months (16x20, scenic, 11 power units, 4 Ýrains, 400 feet main line).

What recommendation do you have for wireless DCC hookup?

John...
Take a look at MRC's Prodigy system at www.modelrectifier.com There are several out there, Model Railroader Magazine lists several in each issue. The publisher of this magazine, Kalmbach Publishing, is bringing out a new "how to" book, all about DCC, in March, 2003. Until then take a look through Model Railroader.

I've had an Atlas Master system for 8 months. Last weekend I tried the Lenz XPA, which makes a cordless telephone into a wireless throttle. This works with any XPressNet-based DCC system, such as Lenz and Atlas.

I had been skeptical about this, but I found it very simple to learn how to use, and it works extremely well. I have one of my own coming this week! At $CAD 80 for the adapter (phone not included), it's the lowest-cost wireless DCC throttle, by a wide margin. If you haven't settled on your system yet, this combination is definitely worth a look.
