When used with a Bowser Big Boy locomotive, is the Bowser electrical pickup kit (#150681) necessary or useful? What exactly is contained in this kit? It sounds like the rivarossi tender picks up current by itself, can this be connected to the locomotive?

I don't have experience with the Rivorossi Centapede tender to know fully what it does or doesn' do. However the Bowser Tender Electrification Kit was designed to be installed in a Monogram, now Con-Cor, HO scale static Big Boy tender model to use with their kit. If the Rivorissi already has current collection you might be able to tap into it. However my lack of familiarlaity with it precludes me knowing how

OK. Thanks. I didn't realize the Con-cor and the Rivarossi were different models. I probably don't need the separate electrification kit.
