Hi everyone, I usually post over at Atlas's N-scale forum but their forum goes down from time to time and I decided to give this forum a try. My question for you is, How do you feel the state of N-scale is today? Do you like the direction it's headed or have different feelings about it? Are things being manufactured that you want and like or is there a hole and something's missing? Is their a change you would make if you have the chance and what would it be? I might be opening a whole can of worms here but I would be interested in your feedback comments. Thought I spend my weekends down at my local train store (The Freight Yard), I help out in building a 30'X 6' two level store layout, assemble cars for custom paint runs, help customers out in the store and put in thoughts for R&D and I'm not even employed by the store itself. I do it for the friendship and the interesting people I meet along the way. And from time to time I meet manufactures and distributors of major companies and we give them feedback (the good and the bad) of thoughts and ideas we hear from others in the model railroad community. I veiw N scale as primarily a scale for heavy duty mainline Modeling in 1/160 scale. This seems to be where the primary thrust of N scale seems to be in my mind as that is what I see most of the products offered for. I predict that It will keep going down the rout. as other subjects seem to be a minority in N scale.

I am a die hard N-scaler. For anybody trying to build beautiful details and great scenery, I think HO or larger is the way to go. But if you want long runs between points, then N-scale is better. Almost four times as much N-scale track can fit into the same area as HO and that is why I use it.
