All the real model railroaders I know seem to be male. I'e met a few women and read about a few more who are women, but every one of them seems to be a "peripheral", involved because of their attachment to some male who has a genuine love for the hobby. Are there any who would actually do it on their own or is it a guy thing?

I my self am a man but have gotten several women quite enraptured in the hobby. All of them notch 8 damn the CTC signals and rulebooks be damned into it.

I am male, and everyone in the model railroading club I am involved with are men. I would welcome women, but I don't know any who are interested. My wife is not interested in trains much at all.

Foamer13, Accurate comment you started off with. I am male, and my wife helps out with landscaping, scenery and buildings. MP
